Error: Cannot Start Microsoft Outlook
Cause: This error occurs because (.msg) format is not the default format for Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007
Solution: SUMMARY
This article describes the procedure to fix the error where .msg format file is not opened. Turn off the Unicode Message Format as the default format for e-mail messages. To do this, follow these steps:
Open Microsoft Outlook
Go to Tools menu then click Options
Go to Other tab then click Advanced Options
Uncheck 'Use Unicode Message Format when saving messages' check box
Click OK twice
Restart Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007
